The CIAO was a very popular medium, which literally made history. Produced from 1967 to 2006 by PIAGGIO (for almost 40 years!) and sold in approximately three and a half million units, it was the best-selling Italian "fifty" ever in the world.

Thanks to a low purchase price and reduced consumption, from the 60s to the 90s, it allowed younger people to move independently, a real "passport to freedom".

The design between a motorbike and a women's bike, its disarming simplicity, its negligible weight and easy handling, above all inflamed the hearts of girls, becoming in a very short time a real must.

For this reason it was, and still is, the most loved "moped" in recent Italian history and beyond.


CIAO was the first medium that truly united girls and boys in the same dream of freedom, in a perfect fusion of intentions between male and female that will have no equal in Italy and beyond.

This is why we chose a logo that unites and blends the masculine and the feminine together as a tribute to this common dream of freedom.
